HISTORY OF THE FIRM

DG Legal Services traces its origins to 1965, when it was established in Trevignano, Italy by Galdino Mazzanti and Arturo Budetta. Following the untimely passing of Arturo Budetta in 2003, the firm continued its operations under the name DG Legal Services, led and managed by Galdino Mazzanti.

Galdino Mazzanti earned his law degree at the age of 22 from the University of Naples in 1959. Over the course of his distinguished career, he built a strong reputation for his expertise in civil law and civil procedure, gaining broad professional recognition.

Early in his career, he served as a research assistant in Civil Law and Private Law at the University of Salerno, working alongside respected scholars Gabriello Piazza and Carmine Donisi. He also contributed scholarly commentary on the Italian Civil Code, featured in a 1980 UTET publication edited by Professor Pietro Perlingieri.

He was author of numerous studies on specialized law journals and a founding member of the Civil Chamber of Salerno.

In the practice of the law, Galdino always committed to the belief in the social function of the legal profession and a practice which reflects the traditional prestige and dignity of the Italian legal profession, while at the same time, the commitment to the research and discovery of new and innovative solutions to modern legal issues.

Galdino Mazzanti was nominated and elected the Chief of the Board of Law Examiners for the Salerno District by the Ministry of Justice for the years 2005-2006.
His wide breadth of competence on health and pharmaceuticals, urban planning, construction and eminent domain, banking, bankruptcy and finance law still constitute the strength and the basis of the solid reputation of the firm.  Galdino passed away in 2008.

The enduring influence of Arturo Budetta, whose passing came too soon, remains deeply embedded in the firm’s identity and guiding principles. His distinguished reputation as an Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Naples, along with his creativity, excellence in administrative law, and remarkable personal character, continue to shape the firm’s values and serve as a lasting legacy.

With more than forty years of experience, DG Legal Services provides a broad range of legal services through its established presence in both Italy and the United States, supported by attorneys qualified to practice in both jurisdictions.
